how we work.

This section outlines the guidance or standard applied by FENDER-EDGE to assess design, manufacturing and testing processes.

FENDER-EDGE

PIANC WG211

PIANC WG211 Fender Guidelines offer comprehensive guidance on the design, manufacturing, and testing of marine fender systems. Guidelines aim to ensure that fender systems are safe, reliable, durable, and cost-effective for both vessels and berths.

FENDER-EDGE’s fender system is based on PIANC and according to the actual application of berthing which continuously make breakthrough in fender technology, production methods, new materials and other aspects.

OCIMF MEG4

OCIMF Mooring Equipment Guidelines (MEG4) provides advice for Masters, Marine Superintendents and others, such as STS service providers and transfer organisers, involved in the planning and execution of STS operations.

e.g., In “Section 9.1.3 Fender Requirements” stated that the recommended service life of fender is 15 years. However, the design service life of fenders by FENDER-EDGE follow the standard, and our fenders in service are more than 8 years old for now.

FENDER-EDGE

ISO 17357-1:2014

ISO 17357 is an international standard that specifies the requirements for pneumatic fenders. It defines the design, performance, and testing criteria for these fenders, ensuring that they provide adequate protection to ships and infrastructure during docking or mooring, especially in rough conditions.

PIANC and OCIMF have formally recognized ISO 17357 as the international standard for pneumatic fenders. FENDER-EDGE’s design, manufacturing, performance and testing methods rigorously adhere to ISO 17357.

PneumaCell™

ISO 17357-1:2014 just serves as the foundational standard, with its key superiority being the ability to maintain optimal performance especially in various harsh environments.

CushionCell™

Variety of manufacturing method are available to meet different berthing requirements. Low hull pressure, Non-marking, No burst risk, Unsinkable, Anti-UV no discoloration.

Rubber Fender

Rubber fender offer several advantages, including durability, resistance to harsh environmental condition and effective energy absorption to protect vessel during berthing.

ShipGuard™

Safe performance of ship launching airbag is the first priority, nothing else. So all its advantages come only from how to ensure safety. 4.5 times safety factor far ahead in the industry.
