Rubber Fender Introduction

In marine and port environments, safeguarding vessels and infrastructure from impact during berthing is paramount. Fixed rubber fenders emerge as a critical solution, designed to absorb kinetic energy and mitigate collision damage. These fenders, permanently attached to structures like quays, piers, and offshore platforms, serve as resilient buffers between ships and docks, ensuring operational safety and prolonging the lifespan of maritime assets.

Fixed rubber fenders come in diverse configurations, including arch, cylindrical, D-shaped, and square designs, each suited to specific load and energy requirements. Arch fenders, for instance, excel in high-energy absorption for large vessels, while cylindrical types offer versatility in moderate conditions. Commonly deployed in commercial ports, naval bases, and ferry terminals, their robust design caters to varied maritime needs, from cargo ships to offshore oil platforms.

Rubber fender Classifications

Cone Rubber Fender

Cone fender is an efficient rubber fender which has a conical body and fully rubber-embedded mounting flanges.

Cell Rubber Fender

Cell fender is a well established rubber fender type, with a hollow cylindrical body and fully rubber-embedded mounting flanges.

Arch Rubber Fender

Arch fenders are simple and rugged marine fender systems, providing reliable and trouble- free service for a wide variety of berths.

D Type Rubber Fender

D fenders have a D shaped outer form and either a D shaped center (DD Fender) or cylindrical center bore (DC Fender).

Cylindrical Rubber Fender

Cylindrical fenders are a simple and versatile rubber fender and can be easily installed. They are ideal for berths serving large and small vessels.

Element Rubber Fender

Element fenders provide an extremely compact solution, ideal for when fenders need to be mounted in a limited area.

Composite Fender

Composite fenders are composites of rubber which provide resilience and UHMWPE with low friction and wear resistant properties.

Roller Fender

Roller fender is generally built from an energy absorbing elastomer unit which is mounted onto a single rotating shaft.

Tugboat Fender

Tugboat fenders must be reliable, stable and high abrasion resistant under extreme conditions which achieve maximum protection during operation.
